I (n/‘m) SECURE with God

If you had told me a year ago that I would be "discipling," I would have laughed at you because I didn’t even know how to pray spontaneously. What more to share God's word?

A year later, God challenged me: It's time that I took care of His flock.

The call for me now is to be the person that I needed when I started my faith journey—just as what my LG (Light Group) brothers and sisters were to me.

Surprisingly, the sisters that I had done LSTs (Love Someone Today) with are on the same journey as I am; their stories are similar to what I went through when I started to finally let God catch up on me after running away many times. We even had the exact same prayers.

Truly, there are no accidents with God; it was He who planted the seed in their hearts, and it's also him who will bring stories of victories into their lives just as He did for me.

Before I meet them for our LST sessions, I always pray for a heart that’s ready to listen and for God to teach me the right words to say when they need it. Many times, I doubted myself, but I would always be reminded of the reason I was doing it. And my why was to "love."

In moments of insecurity, God does not coddle us and say, “You can do it, my precious child.” Sometimes, his message is to “show up, afraid or unafraid, for I am with you every step of the way!”

You may one day be asked to be the person someone needs to accommodate them on their journey; when that time comes, I pray that you will say yes and let God surprise you.
